 OUR PRINCIPALS::

Ronald Zager:

Prior to founding Ronald Zager Associates LLC in 1989, Mr. Zager served as Technical Director at the New Jersey manufacturing facilities of International Flavors and Fragrances, Inc. for 12 years. He was responsible for all technical and analytical functions at that site. He has held managerial and technical positions at Givaudan, Tenneco Chemicals, Halocarbon Corporation, and Pfizer.

As a consulting chemist, he has served for two years as the President of the Association of Consulting Chemists and Chemical Engineers. In addition, he has participated as an overseas consultant for the United Nations "Unistar" program in India , and lectured on "Efficient Manufacturing Techniques" in the Graduate Business Program at Monmouth University in New Jersey .

 

Vincent Venturella  

Prior to founding Ventura Associates in 1995, Dr. Venturella was Director of Technical Service and, before that, Director of Pharmaceutical and Analytical Research at Ohmeda, PPD for 10 years. He was responsible for assuring all the necessary steps required for bringing  newly synthesized compounds to pre-market stage and NDA Approval.  He has had 18 years of managerial and technical experience at Hoffmann-La Roche and was Chief of the Research Division of the US Bureau of Customs Laboratory.

He has served as President of the Eastern Analytical Symposium, Vice-Chairman of the Pharmaceutical Analysis and Control Section of the Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences and on the Revision Committee of the USP. He has taught Analytical Instrumentation, Analytical Chemistry and Pharmaceutics at 3 major Universities.

 

Gerald Vernice:  

Mr. Vernice  has spent  over thirty years in the Pharmaceutical, Chemical and Flavor industries.  He has had overall technical and budget responsibility for Process Development, pilot plant production, outsourcing of chemical processes, and process economics.  Vernice Associates, LLC was founded in 2005. 

Mr. Vernice has developed technical and economically successful processes for new chemicals, flavors, and pharmaceuticals.  He can provide hands on and managerial support to take these new products into commercialization  and when appropriate, evaluate and recommend the selection of a cost effective manufacturer.  Typical services include support for all technical aspects of the project, including scale up and commercialization of the technology.

 

Mark Swetland

Prior to founding MAS Consulting Services in 2005, Mr. Swetland was Director of Operations for Givaudan Flavors Corporation. He was responsible for managing one of the world's largest flavor manufacturing facilities. Mr. Swetland, who began his career at Procter and Gamble,  has 20 years experience as a senior level manufacturing executive.
 
As a consultant, Mr. Swetland recently completed the construction and start-up of a new flavor plant. In this assignment, he also created the systems, programs and policies for a world class operation. His experience includes the food, pharmaceutical, chemical and consumer products industries. He can provide support in all facets of manufacturing, project management and plant start-ups. Audit preparation and training are also available.
